Walking 1000 miles from Lands end to John O'Groats in aid of The Air Ambulance (starts april 7th 2024)

back again!
just back from a nice 17 mile walk with full kit (alfie now sleeping!)
so i thought id try modding the blog some more,
Google latitude seems to be able to pinpoint my position on google maps when i access google maps from my phone i should be able to update and make my position visible to anyone who may want to know during the trek, this seems to be a handy and potentially life saving addition if everything goes tits up!
gadgets are good!

  1. Andy,

Just been reading your blog and the links to other's starting the LEJOG next April, well here's another one. I set off from LE on 17-5 and due to a limited time schedule (45days - then back to work) I will be travelling on roads canals the WHW and GGW.. I am collecting for Special Olympics and Diabetes, and myself have an ausristic son. Look forward to seeing further blogs as you countdown to the start. (Also got a belly to lose!!)

  3. Andy, Sorry for the confusion, I actually start my walk on the 17th April 2010 (Saturday), so the intinerary on the blog should be correct from where I am and when. I have looked all around your blog, but can not find a date when your starting, aplogies if I have missed it.
